Bulgaria, Rila Mountains, Borovets, Flora Apartments

Four of us stayed in the Flora two years ago for 7 nights in a snowboarding trip. The hotel is in an ideal location for all much more enjoyable and was pretty clean. I've got no major problems with this hotel, only a few criticisms. Most of the staff we saw were great, there was nevertheless a particular member of staff at the reception that he acted like a smile would not hurt. "Irish Bar" The so-called was not at all Irish, inlcuding With a happy hour that never touched the happy hour and there was anyway! The spa was a bit poor and we did not really worth the money when we got there - you can not afford to use only the station, you must specify exactly what you want to use and pay accordingly while an guy walks in the site monitoring the hallways are a bit noisy! can hear people moving around at night. As I said these are only of, but the cleanliness was great, the location is perfect and there are some shops and bars in the complex within 2 minutes walk!
As for Borovets, it was my first snowboarding trip abroad and I really enjoyed the snow, despite my enthusiasm for the election of the tracks are faded by the time we left. As a place for a. Beginner / intermediate, but was complete most of the tracks were good for snowboarders, but some of the tracks to the gondola had long straight sections and set pieces, I was a little desperate and we got to go to above. There can be no long queues on the morning of the gondola, but you can take a taxi for 10 track levels up and avoid the queues.
The nightlife is very good, but be prepared to be disturbed by people on the street trying to get into bars, some are better than others, but some are a little more annoying - to reflect on the type of yogurt King was especially green!
Overall a good trip, we all had fun, ate well and the hotel was much better than we expected!

Bulgaria, Rila Mountains, Borovets, Villa Park Hotel

I went to Bulgaria with 5 friends, we all stayed at Villa Park, I stayed in room 207, the view was looking back in the forest of snow appeared and the road to City . The balconies are partly covered so you can be outside, quite impressive. We reached one hour impious and was received by Vlad, our driver, guide and ski instructor staff. We arrived to the accompaniment of about 1 hour later. The reception was a quick check, passport held until the start and got the key. The reception is the restaurant, the first meal was an English sausage and bacon sarni and a cup of hot tea, the bar had a sitting area and large TV.The room had all the mod with TV, DVD and fully equipped kitchens. Extra comfortable double bed. The heat was so good that he slept with the balcony door open at night Evert, so we had fresh breeze and the warmth of a! Rooms by the pool, sauna and massages were good, we have used only the message. The ski run was a 10 minute walk to some slopey, but easy. All stores and restaurants and clubs on the Strip are up on the slopes. The ski shop / rental, cafes and restaurants are uploaded to the summit. Titanic, including a late breakfast was great that he did not have time to stop at the apartment. Many souvenir shops, general stores and an ATM.
Ski lifts and ski belts are in a state v.good, and incredible views. Great skiing had by all and a good workout for Vlad. The trails are well maintained. The rental shop was cheap and had good eqiuiptment. I had my own ski bootsand offered to save for my return next February!

Bulgaria, Rila Mountains, Borovets

Borovets is the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria, with a history dating back to 1896. Borovets was created in the late 19th century as a hunting ground for kings of Bulgaria. The resort has twice hosted rounds of World Cup alpine skiing (1981 and 1984), while thebiathlon track is one of the best in the world. Borovets is now the largest and most modern resort in Bulgaria.

Located in the bordering Borovets col and on the northern slopes of the Cordillera Musala in the eastern partof Rila. Huddled in venerable pine woods 1390 meters above sea level (with more tracks to 2600 m) makes it an ideal place for relaxation and recreation.

The climate is considered healthy. Winter in the city is mild and of course with lots of snow! The average temperature during the coldest month of January is 4.8 ° C. Usually, the slopes of Borovets have snow for amid December to April. The air in Borovets is clear, free of contaminants.
Borovets is also easy access to 12 kilometers long first class road, connects it with Samokov, Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria) is only 72 miles away.

There is regular bus transport to Samokov every 30 minutes.

Premier Luxury Mountain Resort, Bansko

I had set my expectations low when booking luxuary mountain resort Bansko first. After traveling to Bulgaria for a stay before skiing with my family, I concluded that it would be cheap and very basic.
I ski in France and the United States, so that we do not expect luxury Bansko!. Well, what a surprise when we arrived at this hotel. I was surprised how nice the hotel was decorated, very clean, contemporary decor, friendly staff and a large spa.
We booked a master bedroom which has two floors, good size bedrooms, beautiful living room, flat screen TV. and British television for my 10 years. Incredible. There was also a small kitchen, very compact, very well. I would describe the hotel as a boutique hotel. Clean sheets and dresses, even enjoyable in the bathroom.
The only negative I would say is that the rooms were very hot and we find it difficult to sleep the first night, but it was easily solved in the night before we had modern heating in the room so that we can adjust the radiators.
Food ok not great as expected in Bulgaria, but room service was very good. Spa prices are very cheap in the UK VS. A face 50 minutes was the equivalent of £ 25.00
Bansko your car is not beautiful. It looks like someone strapped for cash and left him only half-finished, a lot of debris everywhere, but the slopes were great. Many trails for beginner and intermediate skiing and snowboarding.
Overall I would say that if you do not want to spend too much money, or trying ski'ing For the first time it's a budget place to spend with friends and family, food and cheap drinksetc. vs. France
This hotel was very nice and I defo go back again for a long weekend !

Lucky Bansko Aparthotel

This modern hotel with large rooms. A large number of useful extras - toiletries provided abundant and replenished daily. Bathrobes and slippers for adults and children, plenty of towels, hairdryer, mini bar - at a reasonable price, with the exception of champagne, which is outrageous! Kitchenette with toaster, kettle, coffee machine, supermarket 5minutes walk. Only "complaint" was a sofa bed for 2 children was good, but it was toosmall for 2 adults.
Large pool and spa, wireless internet and computers for use. games room and nursery.
Breakfast and dinner were much better than I feared, a great hot and cold buffet -especially at breakfast.
The hotel is not central, but a mini-bus runs regularly to the main gondola from 8 am to5:00 p.m.
Pleasant lobby bar, though a little too hot - drinks at reasonable prices and friendly helpful staff.
Check it out was effective, we arrived late (2am) and we had a full set of sandwiches, fruit and drinks and dinner was over.
Some might feel disadvantaged, but for us, the quality of the hotel more than made upfor it. a taxi to the city varies in levels 6 and 12 - to fix a price before getting into making it easy to get into town for one night.
highly recommende.

Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena

Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena, Bansko city and points of interest are located between Bansko Ski Centre and Dobrinishte Ski Center.Great location, ski in / ski out.The ski area of Bansko is good you wont get bored if your a beginner however more experienced skiiers may get a little bored mid way threw the week. The biggest advantage of staying here is the VIP gondola pass, allowing you to skip the queue (up to 25 mins at peak times) The ski and boot room is great, boots always warm and dry for the next day. Lovely large comfortable bedroom, only complaint was that it was very hot in the room with no facility to adjust the heating. So we had to leave the window open. (in January!)
La veranda bar is the most beautiful place I've ever visited. Spa center is wonderful, rooms are huge and well equipped. Rusalka therapeutist is the best. If you want to book a massage, please ask for her. Do not miss the chance to visit piano bar and sushi restaurant. If you want to go to Bulgaria definately go to Bansko and definately stay at the Kempinski !
